What is an abortion?

The American Heritage Medical Dictionary defines abortion as: 

a) Induced termination of a pregnancy with the destruction of the embryo or fetus. 

b) Any of the various procedures that result in the termination of a pregnancy. (also called induced abortion)


Should I be concerned about having an abortion?

Abortion is not just a simple procedure; it may have many side effects.  Abortion has been associated with preterm birth, emotional and psychological impact, and spiritual consequences.
